We use Low “E” Smart glass. This smart glass ranges in thickness from 4mm to 10.5mm to provide the most energy efficient solution, depending on your climate and the orientation of the window.
The glass is visibly clear, allowing natural light to stream into the room, while the reflective coating on the outside reflects heat and UV rays away, saving energy.
Our double and thermal glazing provide even greater energy efficiency.
Yes, our aluminium windows and doors are designed with high-quality glazing to ensure excellent insulation and energy efficiency.
We can now also offer a thermal break range using Double Glazed glass to provide more insulation and energy efficiencies.
Absolutely. We offer energy-efficient glazing solutions, including double glazing and thermally broken frames, to help improve insulation and reduce energy costs.
To help explain more on energy efficiency and ratings please watch this video produced by the AWA (Australian Window Association) or talk to one of our experienced consultants.
Security is a major advantage. Aluminium’s strength supports advanced locking mechanisms and toughened glass options, giving you peace of mind against intruders.
Yes, if you live in a bushfire prone area, we can fit your windows and doors with our specially processed bushfire resistant glass.
This glass unit is made up of two glass panels and a locked argon gas filled gap.
The glass is then fitted with an ultra-thin coating that reduces the transfer of radiant heat through the glass.
With heat radiation of up to 40kW/m2, less than 4% of the radiant heat will pass through the glass, protecting the inside of your home.
Glass Types and Performance
We offer single-glazed, double-glazed, Low-E glazing, frosted, and decorative glasses.
We have a variety of solutions for thermal performance including laminated, Low-e, and double glazing.
Glass, however, is not the only consideration when it comes to energy efficiency!
The type of material will also impact thermal insulation—timber will generally have better insulation properties than a commercial aluminium frame, for instance.
Please contact our sales consultants for further information on thermal insulation solutions.
We can build your windows to suit your location and lifestyle.
If you live in a busy inner city apartment block, on an arterial road, or beside a busy local park, we have soundproof glass options to keep your home peaceful.
Our soundproof glass utilises an effective noise reduction laminate, with a thin insulation layer, reducing noise with just a thin, light sheet of glass, no thicker than regular safety glass.
For even better acoustic performance, we have special products available.
Made in 6.5mm, 6.8mm, or 10.5mm Grade A laminate safety glass, this type of acoustic glass uses a uniquely designed three-layer system to block out noise.
Fitted with a Low-E coating, this glass is also highly energy efficient, improving year-round comfort inside your home.
In terms of sound insulation, the most effective glass is laminated glass as it absorbs sound more effectively than any other variety of glass.

Technical Knowledge and Professional Terminology
The reveal is a timber surround fitted to the fin of the window or door and used for installing the product into timber framing.
The reveal becomes the internal frame of your window otherwise known as the ‘window sill’ or door covering the stud.
The architrave attaches to the reveal to cover the gap between the reveal and the plasterboard (or internal lining).
A variety of reveal sizes are available depending on your construction type.
A subsill is flashing under the window which allows for water drainage.
Head flashing is attached to the top of the window to assist with drainage.
Simply, thermally broken frames are window and door frames with a section that does not conduct cold or heat.
This means the conditions outside or inside your door or window do not transfer to the other side.
In winter the cold stays outside and the warmth inside, and vice-versa in summer.
Windows and doors with thermal breaks improve your building’s insulation and its energy efficiency.
Yes, we supply thermally broken frame systems for residential aluminium doors, commercial windows and doors and residential aluminium windows.
The Building Code of Australia has window regulations for openable windows, to reduce the risk of people falling from windows.
By law, windows above the ground floor with a fall of two meters to the ground need to be fitted with either a device to restrict the window’s opening, or a suitable barrier.
Windows should be able to operate as intended, without risking the safety of your family. You can either have window restrictors added, which prevent your window from opening more than 100mm, or install fall prevention screens.
In an area that is subjected to a large amount of wind and rain, it is best to use a 300pa sill.
This will be of great assistance in sealing your home.
Since the weight of the glass will only be supported by the head and the sill, a silicone joint will significantly lessen the strength of your window.
Silicone joints are still a viable glazing option, however they need to be implemented carefully and with prudent consideration to the wind load and local topography.
It’s a common assumption that condensation is caused by faulty windows. In fact, the opposite is true.
Modern windows are designed to reduce ventilation making your home more air tight which in turn traps moisture that can lead to condensation and dampness, potentially causing mould to occur.
